Arizona Canal Trails

The Arizona Canal is popular for biking and a great way to way to get out and explore the city and visit some fun places and eateries! We started in the parking lot off Indian Bend behind the Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club (7605 E Indian Bend Rd, Scottsdale AZ 85250) and rode along the path to Arcadia. While nine canals make up the Valley’s canal system, the Arizona Canal is the longest and northernmost canal. It begins at the Granite Reef dam in Mesa and flows west through the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Native American Community, downtown Scottsdale, Phoenix’s historic Arcadia neighborhoods, and all the way to Peoria ending at New River near the Arrowhead Towne Center. The Arizona Canal is almost 39 miles from start to finish! With such a long path, you can easily hop on your bike and begin your journey at any point along the canal.

Page Springs Cellars and Winery

Page Spring Cellars is located Cornville, AZ just a short distance from Sedona.  They are open year around and a visit to the winery makes for a great day trip or a nice stop after a day of hiking in Sedona.

At Page Springs Cellars, they create wines that express the high desert character of Arizona landscape...from grape to bottle. Page Springs Cellars is a winery first and foremost. But it’s also a destination that encourages exploration. Visitors can pack a day full of authentic experiences, from the obvious—tasting wine—to strolling the vineyards on a tour, opening up the heart and mind during a yoga session, creating a private event or savoring Chef Bryan’s house-made jam.
